Note that generally one in-game minute will pass regardless of the actual length of the reply. Topics that have not been chosen yet appear as a brighter orange in the dialogue box. Usually, speaking to someone about a topic you haven't heard will pass the clock one minute per topic regardless of the length of the reply. The main way to pass time is to talk to people. The sound is otherwise meaningless, but it's an indicator to remind the player that the clock is ticking if they're on a time-sensitive mission. It's subtle and may blend into the background. Usually interacting with objects or opening containers also will not pass the time unless a dialogue box comes up.Įvery time ten minutes pass in-game, a soft click may be heard. Time doesn't pass while the player is walking around and exploring the world. Many events are dependent on the time, but most NPCs will be available to chat all day until at least 21:00.
